What to Avoid
Some chemicals can cause the gold to darken faster than it should, especially if left on the jewelry and not cleaned off. It is helpful to keep your jewelry away from the following chemicals:
- POOLS & HOT TUBS: the chemicals that are used in pools and hot tubs will cause tarnishing.
- SWEAT: sweat contains salt which can be harsh on your jewelry. It is best to take your jewelry off when exercising.
- PRODUCTS: This includes beauty products, perfumes, lotions, nail polish remover, etc. It is best to minimize contact between your jewelry and products.
